What CityVibe keeps in your browser, why and for how long, how to change your choice and how to delete it all.

In short
- We use only what the site needs to work: your language, city, favorites, your cookie choice and copies of pages for when you are offline. The law does not ask for your consent for these (Art. 4(6) of Romanian Law no. 506/2004), but we list them all below.
- Google Analytics and its cookies (_ga) start only if you say yes to “Statistics”.
- We use no advertising cookies and no code from Facebook, Instagram or other networks.
- Our own statistics keep nothing on your device.
What cookies are
Cookies are small files a site leaves in your browser. Browsers have other places too where a site can keep data on your device: browser storage (localStorage), tab storage (sessionStorage), Cache Storage, a database (IndexedDB) and the service worker, a small program that lets the site work offline. You will find them all below, by name, so you can recognise them in your browser settings.
Strictly necessary
They are always on, because the site does not work without them. They stay on your device: only the device code and your favorites reach our server, and only while your alerts are on.

Statistics, only with your consent
Google Analytics starts only after a yes to “Statistics”. Google then sets the cookies below on cityvibe.ro, and data about the visit goes to Google. We use neither Google Signals nor ads or other advertising features. What data Google receives and how long it keeps it is in the privacy policy.

Outside services
Google Maps sets no cookies on cityvibe.ro. Your browser connects to Google only when you ask for a map (“Show the map (Google Maps)” on an event page, “Map” on the home page): Google then receives your IP address, browser details and the page address.
The links to Facebook, Instagram and Google Maps (“Open in Google Maps”, “Get Directions”) are plain links: nothing loads until you click them. Event images, fonts and the service worker’s Workbox library come from cityvibe.ro, not from other sites.
Your choice
You can change your choice at any time, with the button below or from “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page. After a no, we delete the _ga cookies. If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a no until you choose otherwise.

How to delete the data in your browser
In your browser settings, under cookies and site data, look for cityvibe.ro and delete it. That removes everything above, the service worker and the cache included. For example:
- Chrome: the icon left of the address, then cookies and site data.
- Firefox: the padlock left of the address, then clear cookies and site data.
- Safari on iPhone and iPad: the Settings app, Safari, the advanced settings, then website data.
Note that this also deletes the favorites saved on the device and your cookie choice (we will ask again). If you have alerts, turn them off first on the Alerts page. If you installed CityVibe as an app, removing it from the home screen may leave its data in the browser until you delete it there too.
You can also block cookies in your browser settings. The site still works, but it no longer remembers your city, favorites or choice.
Changes
When we change this policy, we change the date at the top and ask for your choice again. Everything we use, not only what is in your browser, is in the privacy policy.
